It’s Time for Pot and Soil Change!
Time to take care of your houseplants! Spring is the best time to repot houseplants using fresh soil to provide the essential nutrients they need. Here are a few tips for changing pots and soil.
When to Replace with Fresh Soil?
Spring is an excellent time to change the soil in the pots. Repotting is also essential if the plant looks dried out or if you see many roots growing out of the drain hole at the bottom of the pot.
How to Choose the Right Pot?
Whatever type of container or pot you select, make sure it is in proportion to the size of the plant and has drainage holes.
Step by Step Pot Change
- Put a few stones and some sand at the bottom and add soil to cover 1/3 of the new pot.
- Gently turn the old pot upside down and separate the plant roots from the pot.
- Place your plant in the new pot and fill in the sides of the pot with soil.
- Place the new pot in the desired location and water the plant immediately.
- Use soil specifically prepared for indoor plants.
