Vitamin D status drops in winter
Renan Güneş reminded us that vitamin D levels in the body dropped with the decrease of sunshine during the winter months, saying, “Therefore, it is beneficial to take advantage of vitamin D supplements during the winter months.”
Renan Güneş recommended consuming teas with high antioxidant content, such as green tea, linden, rosehip and white tea, to strengthen immunity, especially in winter.
Referring to the importance of sleep for the immune system, Renan Güneş said, “Adequate and regular sleep should be a priority.”
